5 learners from the Fiji National University’s Countrywide Schooling and Productivity Centre’s (NTPC) National Apprenticeship Instruction Plan have signed on with FMF Foods Ltd for the upcoming four years.

The five apprentices who have signed on are in the Trades of Electrical Engineering and Plant Servicing programme.

Director NTPC Isimeli Tagicakiverata explained by way of the apprenticeship scheme there was a greater harmony among theory and apply. Pupils not only obtained on the work schooling but they would proceed with their idea classes as properly.

The director expressed his appreciation to FMF for signing on the five apprentices.


NTPC’s agenda

He highlighted that a person of NTPC’s agenda was to support the industry and potential constructing.

“The Apprenticeship plan is a quite great scheme, something we are supporting at NTPC.

FMF Operations supervisor Jimi Taniela counseled NTPC and the national apprenticeship plan for the partnership.

“As a previous apprentice it is a positive note to see extra college students signing up for the scheme,” Mr Taniela said.


Organisations involved

Manager Countrywide Apprenticeship Plan Reenal Chand reported there were more than 50 Organisations who are presently training apprentices in Fiji.

Mr Chand explained the apprenticeship arrangement authorized apprentices to not only gain concept knowledge but also simple as they worked.

He explained the apprenticeship contracts were being unique to the normal employment contracts.

Some of the organisations include Goodman Fielder, British American Tabaco, Natural Water of Viti Limited, Carpenters Motors Restricted, Asco Motors Fiji, Niranjans Autoport Constrained, Fiji Sugar Corporation Minimal, InterContinental Fiji Golf Vacation resort & Spa, Lincoln Refrigeration Minimal, Vatukoula Gold Mines Ltd and a lot of extra.
